Based on the requirements and design from the previous workpackages we
will develop proof-of-concept implementations for some subset of the
requirements. These implementations will be based upon components of
SmartFrog and LCFG. We will test these components to identify early
bottlenecks and other performance and management issues. A final report
and fabric management roadmap will be produced which identifies area
for further investigation. We intend to present our work at the Global
Grid Forum. Where possible we will make available those generic
components that may of immediate benefit to fabric management
initiatives within the GGF and other standards bodies. However, as this
is an initial project, focussing on defining a roadmap for future work,
we do not expect this project to produce a final working system or
exportable code - rather to identify what needs to be implemented in an
industrial strength manner in future projects.
